Thank you for my Oscar! When I came in December and walked into the cat room and saw the ugliest cat on the planet (a Persian that the previous owner had shaved the body escept for the head), I fell in love. He looked like Oscar the Grouch. My husband and I just love Oscar. He is the most gentle, amiable cat! He loves to be played with, and he especially loves for us to scritch his belly. He also has an odd affinity with the toilet. He likes to look in it and watch the water. Especially if you flush purely for his entertainment. (A Weird Cat!) Oscar likes to have his face washed twice a day - he even jumps up into the sink when I get home so I can wash his face with a warm wet washcloth. Here is a picture of our not-quite-as-ugly Oscar. He plays with our Border Collie, Ben. He likes to play "tag" and "gotcha last". When Ben tires before Oscar is ready to stop playing, Oscar will go over to Ben and bop him on the head with a front paw (no claws, just paw). He's not afraid of Ben at all... a pretty secure and well-adjusted member of the family! Thanks again for your service, making a place where people can find just the right match to round out their family. Oscar is a delight!
