...and Tyler, too.

Our family owned a purebred German Shepherd, Rocky, who was put to sleep recently due to his age and sickness. He had seizures for a year, and had problems with his hips as many Shepherds do, but it was getting worse. It was very hard on us at the time of Rocky's death, but we knew we would get another dog eventually. At first we looked in the newspaper, but were unhappy with our experience. Thankfully, a co-worker assisted me in finding a puppy using the Internet. Our puppy, "Tyler," had been at the Ontario County Humane Society for 2 weeks. We'd never adopted from a Shelter before, and probably would never have traveled all the way out to Canandaigua to look for a dog without knowing what they had there. It turned out that it was only recently that the Ontario County Humane Society had started using the World Wide Web to post potential adoptees. Well, it worked great for our family, and I hope it won't be long before others discover the lovable pets from the Shelter. It's definitely worth the drive -- even from Spencerport!!

We have been so happy since Tyler entered our lives. He bonded instantly with the family, and everyone loves him very much. He is doing well and growing fast! We have lots of land, and there are farm animals next door to look at when he goes outside. Although he is very interested in making friends with our 2 indoor cats, they are of the opinion that he is a little too rambunctious to associate with yet! He is working on obedience training, and he's beginning to learn what is expected. He's very smart and very friendly. Although Tyler can never replace Rocky, we love him very much and are happy to have a dog in the house again.
