Buddy - A Turn in Fortunes

I'm sure everyone has been thinking about "Buddy" and wondering how he is in his new home.  He is doing GREAT!  I can see now why he was so close to everyone's heart.  We are so thankful that you didn't give up on him.  He's an awesome dog.

He was pretty mellow the first couple of days.  He followed me around like crazy and had to sleep right next to me on his new dog bed.  Which he loves very much!  He has lots of new toys to play with and his own toy basket.  He likes to go to his basket and pick a toy out.  When he's done with one toy it's back to the basket for another.  He still needs to learn how to pick the toys up and put them away when he's done.  I guess that comes with time...

We're going to sign him up for some obedience training.  He's a good boy right now, but could use some sharpening up with some of his skills.  He gets really excited and likes to jump!  The kids love him as he has added alot of life to our home again after losing our last dog.

It's so sad for us to imagine our little Buddy in the shelter for the last 8-months.  It warms our heart to know that we have given him a new life and a warm and loving home.  It makes everything that he does to experience his new surrounding all the more pleasurable to watch.

We all send a heartfelt thanks for keeping such good care of  the "Bud-Man".  We will bring him by to visit very soon!

Sincerely,

Joe and Kathy Babb

UPDATE:

For anyone at Happy Tails who is interested in knowing how Buddy is doing,
he is fantastic! Our family absolutely loves him and he has acclimated very
well into our home. He is the best dog in the world. I've never had a dog
'hug' me before. But I really think he does. He also does an awesome
"high-five". He is becoming quite spoiled but he's also very deserving of
it. He loves us back 10-fold. Over the holidays we were able to share
buddy with our friends and relatives and he not only behaved very well, he
won over the hearts of everyone who entered our home.

I wish I could bring him out to visit everyone at Happy Tails, but he is
very afraid of cars and will not get into one. Unfortunately I think he's
afraid he'll get taken back to the shelter, so he feels better off staying
out of any type of transportation. Ha ha.
