I am long overdue to send a Cruz update. We have had Cruz 1.5 years now (I had the wrong year on my previous post) and it's as if he has always been a part of our family. The photos show him lounging in his favorite chair in the den where he manages our home security. This is also an ideal location to detect our teenage son sneaking in after curfew. Cruz has not let the boy slip by yet.

Cruz loves to take long walks, howl at sirens and sun bathe on the picnic table. Oh and, he also likes to steal the toilet paper rolls out of the bathrooms and shred them up, which is actually pretty funny.

So far he has learned 5-6 commands, a trick or two and this spring he finally learned his electric fence. Cruz has been a pleasure to live with and is a very affectionate boy. He hit the "family" lotto coming to our house because he is showered with hugs and kisses every day

Here is a new “pretty boy” photo of Cruz with flowers in the background. This picture makes me laugh because it has taken Cruz a long time to get used to the grooming process. He is just not into any of that girly stuff.

Anyway, we just celebrated our 3rd anniversary with Cruz. We honor the occasion with an outing to PetSmart (he chose a stuffed cow this year), then off to a local wooded trail for some nose candy. He loves the smells in the woods and actually whimpers as he runs around.

Cruz is a happy, healthy and active boy. He walks us 3 miles every day so that we stay healthy too. He misses his “brother” who is off in college now and checks his room regularly for any sign of activity. He is very tolerant of all the affection he receives and now waits patiently for his allotment of hugs and kisses every day. Cruz is a joy to have as part of the family.

Thanks again,

Kristy
