We adopted Cherry, who is now known as Sara, last summer.
She is a truly wonderful dog! She has a great disposition, just
a sweetheart. Sara has loads of energy and is surprisingly fast
and agile. She loves to run! Yet she is very obedient and she
completely mellows out once she is in the house. We haven't had
a potty accident in the house yet! She got into the garbage once
and I found her hiding under pillows in my bedroom. It was adorable,
but also showed that some one has instilled a great deal of fear
in her. We have worked with her a lot and she is much less fearful
now. She used to cower and shake when male strangers approached
her. But that only lasted the first few weeks we had her. Her
cherry eye ,for which she was named, has been fixed for nearly
8 months and we have had no problems. She goes with me everywhere
and is my biking partner. We live right in between Hemlock and
Canadice lakes and we do our fair share of hitting the trails,
biking, and hiking. My 2 year old and Sara are best buds and
he absolutely loves her! Our cat Dango and she get along great,
while our other cat, Chui, despises her. We are so grateful that
we have Sara in our family and I feel so lucky to have such a
great dog. We are fencing in our yard right now so she can run
free and when we finish, we might be back to adopt another member
of the family!
Thanks so much for all you guys do,
Maureen Miller
