We Adopted Smokey, a beautiful grey kitten from the shelter about 9 years ago or so. He was a sweetheart. As a kitten he would costantly be either on your lap, or on your face if you were sleeping. He did awesome with kids, and when we got a dog, he was very accepting. He would curl up in a ball next to the dog, and just sleep there for hours. Unfortunatley, Smokey had a urinating issue, and was moved to a farm to become an outdoor cat. He adjusted very well though, and I am just so glad that he was able to be adopted. I realize that for some others, it may be too late. Smokey I feel was a lucky one because he got a good home. I believe that everyone should consider adopting a pet before going to the store and buying one. Smokey was a great cat, and I believe that every animal deserves a chance. If you are able, please take the time to seriously consider adopting a pet or two from an Animal shelter. You May just save a life. These poor animals can not speak for themselves, so if we don't take the time to care for them, they will be left to die. That is why I am so glad that Happy Tails Animal Shelter has such considerate staff, and such a caring nature about them. Thank You again for this wonderful animal, and like I said, although we no longer have Smokey, he is still living a very good life on a farm. Thanks Again!
