I came into the shelter over a month ago to see about volunteering.  I could not resist checking out the kitties that were there.  Sugar called to me that first day but because she had just been spayed she was not able to leave.  I went back about a week or so later and - unfortunately for her but fortunately for me - she was still there.  I could not resist.  I brought her home and she has lived up to her name.  She is the sweetest thing.  She and my other cat are slowly getting to know each other.  If Sugar had her way they would be best buds – she is anxious to get to know the current “queen” of the house.  In time it will happen.  But in the meantime Sugar has adjusted well and is happy and content in her new home.
