Hello, I saw your board of success stories and I wanted to share
Scarlett's story. She was adopted in June and now is named Vinnie.
The 1st picture is the one from your website that led me to her.
The second one is her in her new life with us.
When Vinnie first came to live with us, she was a very nervous
girl, who did not trust anyone or anything. Also, it became very
clear she had never lived in a house before and we knew it would
be a very big adjustment for us all. She has slowly come out of
her shell and has transformed into a wonderful part of our family.
Month by month she worked very hard to please us. She immediately
started to learn indoor manners and outdoor bathroom habits. By
July, she secured her place on the end of the bed next to her
new older brother Wally. She also learned how to walk on a leash
and heel. She's also mastered commands like sit, stay, lay and
shake. In the past few months, she has finally warmed up to traveling
in the car and being in new places. Strange men are still very
scary to her, but she is so willing to trust us. I am very confident
she will one day overcome that as well. Until then, she fills
her days playing fetch, wrestling with Wally, and being a fantastic
80 pound lap dog.
I write this short message to thank you all for the wonderful
work you do everyday for these orphaned animals. I hope when you
look at the pictures below, you too can see that the fear and
worry in Vinnie's eyes seen in the first picture has been replaced
with happiness and love that is very visible in the second picture.
She owes it all to you!!
