rCAPTCHA use and privacy policy

Purpose and scope of application

rCAPTCHA is a Raims security product intended to protect users, their access and the information processed on the platform. It forms part of the measures adopted by Raims to preserve the security and integrity of its services.

This Policy is a public document intended for users of the Raims platform in features where rCAPTCHA is provided. Its scope covers the conditions of use of the product and the processing of information associated with its operation.

Use on the Raims platform

The use of rCAPTCHA is restricted to the Raims platform. Raims does not sell licenses, rent out or provide the mechanism to other companies, institutions or third parties for use on external platforms, websites, applications or services. rCAPTCHA is not made available as a standalone product, integration service or white-label solution.

Access to the platform or use of rCAPTCHA does not grant users, customers or partners any right to reproduce, embed, distribute, sublicense, resell or exploit the mechanism outside Raims environments, subject to rights guaranteed by applicable law.

Intellectual property

rCAPTCHA is developed and maintained by Raims for use on its platform. Raims reserves its intellectual property rights in the elements and implementations it has authored, subject to applicable law.

Conditions of use

Access to certain features may be conditional upon completion of the security verifications established by Raims. Completion of those verifications does not waive compliance with other access, use and authorization requirements applicable to the platform.

The application of security controls may entail additional verifications or temporary restrictions on the use of the relevant feature. The provision of rCAPTCHA does not constitute an absolute guarantee of security or exclude responsibilities under applicable law and contractual instruments.

Information subject to processing

The operation of rCAPTCHA may involve processing information concerning the connection, access environment and use of the platform, to the extent necessary to carry out security verifications and preserve their integrity.

Information provided by users through other platform features remains subject to the purposes and conditions established in the Raims Privacy Policy. The categories of information used by the mechanism comprise:

• Connection and network data, including IP address and approximate location associated with the connection.
• Information concerning the browser, device and access environment settings.
• Records of platform use and interaction, and information concerning the performance and outcome of security verifications.

Personal data protection and retention

Information processed through rCAPTCHA is used for the security of the platform and its users, validation of verifications and investigation of failures. Such data is not sold or used by the mechanism for personalized advertising. The performance of verifications does not constitute consent to marketing communications or optional cookies.

Raims guidelines establish minimum retention periods of 90 days for technical diagnostic logs and 5 years for security and audit events, according to the classification of each record. Where necessary, retention may be extended for legal obligations, preservation of evidence, investigations, audits, disputes or the lawful exercise of rights, subject to the LGPD and the Raims Privacy Policy.

rCAPTCHA verifications are performed by Raims without integration with external CAPTCHA services. Processing by infrastructure providers is subject to the Raims Privacy Policy.

User obligations and support

Users shall comply with the conditions of use provided by Raims. Unauthorized modification, improper interference with security controls or use of rCAPTCHA for purposes inconsistent with this Policy and the platform Terms of Use is prohibited.

Requests concerning use of the mechanism or accessibility requirements shall be submitted to sac@raims.com, subject to applicable support procedures. Communications shall not contain access credentials or confidential information unnecessary for assessment of the request.

Rights, communications and amendments

Data subject rights, including review of automated decisions affecting their interests, may be exercised through dpo@raims.com, subject to applicable law and the provisions of the Raims Privacy Policy.

Security-related communications shall be sent to security@raims.com. Questions regarding the legal conditions of use shall be directed to legal@raims.com.

This Policy may be amended to reflect changes to the mechanism, processing purposes or applicable obligations. The current version and its update date shall be made available on this page. Material changes to data processing shall follow the notification procedures established in the Raims Privacy Policy.
